(February 28, 2007) Kansas City: Superior Graphite participated in the Western farm show, by exhibiting SLIP Plate® and Seed Slik® products to the farmers and agricultural specialists from Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, and Iowa. Participants were able to learn more how SLIP Plate products can reduce down time caused by frictional issues and premature part failures in their own farming operations. While receiving a free sample of Tube-O-Lube® powder graphite, farmers also were able to discuss their successes using SLIP Plate on gravity bins, trailers, and combines and new ideas for future products from Superior Graphite “Agriculture continues to be the leading market for SLIP Plate products. We continue to look for new products and innovative ways to use graphite to reduce the farmer’s down time and save them money,” said Mark Wanta, Business Manager for Superior Graphite.
Introduced at the show was the revamped line of graphite and talc seed flow lubricants under the Seed Slik® brand name. The powder lubricants have been designed using Superior’s Signature® line of graphite powders to reduce plate friction and increase yields for the farmers. The new MowerGUARD™ aerosol coating was also displayed and received a lot of attention as a new an innovative product to reduce the time most consumers spend cleaning their mower decks and lawn maintenance equipment. “MowerGUARD offers a market innovation that consumers and lawn maintenance professionals have been looking for to reduce the amount of time they spend cleaning and maintaining their equipment. Utilizing the unique SLIP Plate dry film technology, MowerGUARD provides a durable, and effect coating to prevent grass buildup up,” said Mark Wanta.
SLIP Plate® products have been used in the agricultural market for over 25 years with excellent success. Over 80% of the participants have heard of SLIP Plate and over 65% of those participants have used or are using SLIP Plate today. Superior Graphite will continue to work within local markets and communities to increase distribution of SLIP Plate to make it easier for the farmer of today to get quality, dry film lubrication quickly and keep their farm moving.
